The Radnor Arms: The pub that refused to stay closed!
The Radnor Arms is a community-owned pub, run by a volunteer committee elected by its shareholders. After closing nine years ago, The doors will soon reopen!
The front bars are nearly ready, and once legalities are sorted, we’ll start trading Fridays, Saturdays & Sundays. Our team will be a mix of experienced bar leads and enthusiastic volunteers helping bring the pub back to life.
A new RADNOR ARMS website is on the way—your go-to for opening times, what’s on, news and photos, The website will also feature updates on food van visits and meals available through partnerships.
We’re also working on the back bar and site renovations. Surveys are done, architects are being approached, and grant applications are underway. It’s a slow but exciting journey...

The story of The Radnor Arms
The village of New Radnor has been without a pub since 2016. That is about to change thanks to your help. In the spring of 2024, we fundraised as the Radnor Arms Hotel Limited Community Benefit Society (CBS) an incredible £220,000 to cover the cost of the purchase of the Radnor Arms from the interim owner and to reopen the pub.
The money raised has been matched and funded by the Community Ownership Fund, totalling a fantastic £440,000 to fund the restoration and reopening of The Radnor Arms pub as now a community-owned pub in New Radnor.
